Hand Embroidery Birds: Periwinkle and Mulberry

Two new birds have joined the flock! This plump bird is named Periwinkle. She is hand embroidery stitched in periwinkle blue, turquoise and rich plum.
She has latticework stitching on her belly and a variety of stitches on her body and tail including seed stitch, blanket stitch & french knots.
A bit larger than the rest of her flock, and proud to be round and full-figured, Periwinkle bird is 6 1/2 inches long and 4 1/2 inches tall.
And this is her friend Mulberry bird. She's the smaller of the two, at 5 1/2 inches long and 3 1/4 inches tall.
Mulberry bird has a combination of machine stitching (in black) and hand embroidery stitching in red berry shades and soft purples.

These two have called for more birds, please.
The flock needs to grow. And so it continues...
